We do not automatically gather any additional personal information from you when you visit the site. Personal information is collected and stored only when supplied during the process of ordering a ticket, inquiring about a ticket purchase, or subscribing to our email updates.
We use software that receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted the website. This information is only linked to the personal information that you provide at the time of a ticket order for the purposes of non-repudiation. Otherwise, IP addresses are not linked to the identity of individuals visiting the site. Similarly, links from advertisements are counted to measure the effectiveness of ad placement, but not linked to personal information or IP address information in any way.
Disclosure
The information you provide in your ticket request is shared with the professional services firm of Deloitte for the purpose of order fulfilment. Your information may also be accessed, as necessary, by our other contracted service providers for the limited purpose of allowing such service providers to assist us in the administration of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Home Lottery. Your personal information is not shared with any other organisations unless we otherwise have a legal duty or right. We do not sell, trade, or lease our customer information.
Retention
Credit card information is retained on our server for a maximum of 10 days, after which time it is erased from the server’s database. In the case of Member orders, your financial information is retained by SecurePay, a division of Australia Post, in order to facilitate future payments.
Security
Transactions with the server are protected via SSL encryption. Credit card information is stored on the server in an encrypted format. The server is secured from intrusion both physically and from the internet. We have made all reasonable efforts to protect the privacy of your personal information.
How to unsubscribe
If you wish to be removed from the database that is used to email information about our lotteries, you may do so by following the appropriate link included in such emails.

Disposal
Your contact information is retained in the database until such time that you ask it to be removed by phoning (03) 9671 6300 or emailing [email protected] and requesting removal.
